Top-Rated Lead Capture Tools for Trade Shows

Lead capture, also known as lead retrieval, is vital for trade show exhibitors. Capturing booth visitors' contact information and product interest is the first step in the lead management process. Lead nurturing and lead tracking comes later, but let's start with a look at these top-rated lead capture apps.

AtEvent

atEvent connects the dots between demand gen efforts before, during, and after the event for better ROI and faster sales.

Platforms: Cloud, SaaS, Web, Mobile (Android and iOS)

Who it's for: Event Planners, Marketers, and Sales

Why Users like atEvent

Lead capture and lead retrieval apps are expected to be able to quickly scan badges and business cards. But the lead capture apps that can take that source information, qualify it, and then integrate it seamlessly into your CRM system and make it possible for office staff to immediately begin the work of post-event marketing. The atEvent app can do all these things.

The atEvent app lets you create custom qualifiers that can be standardized across events, and then use the app's central dashboard to find insights that will help you plan and execute personalized follow-up. The app also features lead nurturing and scoring. It's easy to set up and use at the booth, and if you'd rather take a screenshot of a business card or badge (versus a scan), the image to text conversion is ideal. It will work either online or offline, and it's GDPR compliant.

Here's what some recent users have said about atEvent:

"We like that we can centralize all of our trade show leads into one application. Setup of events are easy, and our qualification questions make it easier to process MQLs after shows."

"It has so far helped us send informative materials to our event prospects."

"It's simple to use, gives us 3 options and syncs with Salesforce CRM. It was so simple to use that our prospective customers didn't get bored while we entered their details."

Cvent LeadCapture

Cvent LeadCapture provides the best-supported solutions you will need for your exhibitors, sponsors, and trade shows from the most trusted platform in event software.

Platforms: Cloud, SaaS, Web, Mobile (Android and iOS)

Who it's for: B2B and B2C trade show managers, exhibitors, and sales.

Why Users like Cvent LeadCapture

Like atEvent, the Cvent LeadCapture app offers options for capturing lead data on business cards or badges. But Cvent takes an extra step to ensure the accuracy of hard-to-scan IDs: Once you take a picture and upload it, the file is sent to a transcription team for information verification and to make sure the data ends up in the correct fields.

But first, LeadCapture can schedule appointments to invite visitors to your booth. The app features a questionnaire designer that can adapt questions while your salespeople are having conversations with the attendees whose information they just scanned. Your leads can be qualified on the spot and shared immediately with your office staff, who can quickly follow-up with your best prospects. The app can capture leads in offline mode and then sync them with your CRM or market automation platform when you have an internet connection.

Also, Cvent LeadCapture establishes a new standard for privacy and consent. The app provides a place for the lead to give consent to future marketing but also make it easy for the lead to remember what they consented to and when.

LeadCapture is available as a standalone product but is also available as part of the broader Cvent technology platform for event management. Currently Cvent is supporting LeadCapture with a staff of 1,300 dedicated employees.

Here's what some recent users have said about Cvent LeadCapture:

"Using this app is simple and convenient for event planners/sponsors to collect & qualify leads from a smartphone or tablet."

"Isolate[s] leads from actual contacts and streamline[s] lead management."

"Capture[s] leads instantly onsite and allow[s] exhibitors to rate each lead and enter qualification notes to prioritize follow-ups."
