The Anderson School of Management Foundation is a charitable organization whose purpose is to encourage and promote the study of Business Management and Administrative Sciences. The Foundation board is comprised of leading members of the local community with an interest and commitment to the Anderson School. They support and guide the School’s mission and strategies and work to create positive change by serving as a bridge between Anderson and the business community. The Foundation believes in creating a positive learning environment for all Anderson students. The Foundation played a pivotal role in raising funds for the new Jackson Student Center, a destination place allowing for informal interaction between faculty and students and serving as a gathering place for study groups, student clubs and organizations and information distribution. It is also a popular venue for community events and outreach including lectures, dinners and receptions and recruitment activities.
The new Student Marketing Center opened this past November thanks to the efforts of Foundation board members. This state-of-the-art center serves as a lab, studio, and collaborative learning space for Anderson marketing students. The 500 square-foot facility includes workstations with specialized creative and marketing research software, wireless Internet, video teleconferencing capabilities, and a LCD presentation system.
And each year the Foundation honors Anderson’s accomplished alumni at their annual Hall of Fame ceremony and dinner. This signature Foundation event celebrated its 20th anniversary in March.
