This Month, we are spotlighting KOATs for Kids!
“KOATs for Kids” is the longest-running public service campaign in KOAT 7’s history. For more than 20 years, the station has partnered with various organizations to ensure that New Mexico’s children have warm, quality coats to wear during this time of year. No one can deny that a good coat is something each and every child deserves, but far too many children have parents who are unable to afford such a necessity. Read more...

Barrett Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico, helping homeless women and children build better lives. In addition to food, clothing and shelter, Barrett Foundation provides case management, critical skills training and the support needed to plan and establish a more stable future for themselves and their children. In April, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is scheduled in 90 cities across the country and is a non-competitive walk designed to heighten community awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds for breast cancer research and local education programs and patient services. The New Mexico walk takes place along the beautiful Rio Grande River and has been well attended for the past nine years. read more...
In March, we did a spot light for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®, headquartered in White Plains, NY, with 68 chapters in the United States and Canada, is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million in research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Last year alone, LLS made 6.3 million contacts with patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

In February, we focused on YWCA Our Sister's Closet and Assistance League Albuquerque, two local non profit organizations that have partnered to provide clothing to those in need.
During the month of February we accepted all men's, women's and children's clothing donations at our showroom.
